What does AMA Victoria's EBA mean for medical students?

  • Starting salaries Intern salaries will increase helping newly appointed doctors to manage their student loans and living expenses. This makes Victoria a much more attractive place for interns to practise.

  • 276 new beds. Extra beds mean 276 extra opportunities to learn.
  • Continuing medical education allowance of $1000 per item per annum (increasing to $1500 after first year) to spend on your education during the year.
  • Funding for additional time for specialists to teach and train students and interns. This will provide more resources to make your learning experience more valuable.
  • Development of registrar training programs to assist them in their roles to supervise and mentor interns.
